I need to get one so I can ensure that this battery lasts longer than the last one I had in the bike.
Also, are there any noticable differences in fuel stabilizers?

You should be able to find a good tender on ebay for a reasonable price. I never use a tender though. I fire the Indian up every couple of weeks over the winter to make me AND the bike feel better.
I've never used fuel stabilizer either, but again, I fire her up about every two weeks. If you DO use it, just make sure you pay attention to the ratio. Most of that stuff is made to go with 20 gallons or so.

I may just do that until after Christmas. Just let it idle for a bit and see if that will work. It'll be good to hear the straight pipes for about 30 minutes every so often... Especially now that they are connected to the heads and everything... ;D

I have just been starting it in the garage when I remember. Actually have had a few breaks in weather every two weeks or so, and I'll get a few miles under the tires. Been a good "off season" so far. I hope that this is an indication of the gorgeous summer that will be upon us sometime soon.
Yukon, I'm going to contact the mechanic that you referred me to as soon as I find his info again, and see if he needs the wheels on or off the bike. If he would prefer them off, then I'll host a wrenching party to get that done so we can look at the brakes.

Yup, and by "we" I mean that I'll hand you beers as you turn the wrenches... HA! Anyone know where to get a maintenance book for my bike? Can't seem to fine on on ebay or anything.

Okay, guys, I got a great battery tender. It took a lot longer to charge the battery than advertised, but I figure that was due to the state of "death" that my battery was in. I woke up this morning to a steady green light!!! Going to have to take 'er out today and stretch her legs a bit.
By the way, regarding the last post before this one, I have a great maintenance manual! Now I can start planning the wrenching parties this winter... I'm already starting to clean out the garage...
